Setting up and clearing the field

Postby archery » Mon Jul 11, 2011 5:56 am

Hi All

We have been ultra busy lately so I have not had time to explain to all the newbies about field setup and clearing.

We all need to help setting up the field and clearing it after shooting, if you come late please make sure you make extra effort to help clear away.
If you have to leave early ask the Field Captain if any equipment wants putting away before you leave. This way we can work together and be a Club.
I have been in Clubs where there are 'Blisters', they come after the work has been done, and quite often leave early too!
Not mucking in can cause friction and resentment and maybe Sherwood Forresters is not the right Club to be in!
Please do your best to help. If you notice anyone not helping just give a gentle reminder that Peter has asked everyone to help.
It is good practice to clear the field before you put away your bows and arrows.
Thanks and I hope I do not cause offence explaining the setup to those who already know.

Hello All

I feel what Peter put above is quite right and not only fair, but just plain good manners.
We are all club members, and don't employ anyone as Staff or Attendants to set up/take down equipment/targets etc.

See some of You next Saturday
